Will 2011 be the year of Sondre Lerche? Here’s hoping!

Sondre Lerche’s self-titled new album received rave reviews in his native Norway this morning with 5 out of 6 in VG, Dagsavisen, Aftenposten and Sondre’s hometown paper BA.

Effective today, the album is available to stream online in Norway via WiMP – and on CD and LP June 6.

Back in the States, the June/July issue of Bust magazine also featured a rave review, praising the new album as well as Sondre’s “warm poeticism” and “effortless cool.” Check out the review below (or pick up a copy on your local newsstand!)

Great news for NYC-based fans! Sondre will be playing in the 2-day DylanFest at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC. The event, a celebration of the birthday and the music of Bob Dylan, features a star-studded lineup – a different cast for each performance.
